Comments Policy

At Search Engines Daily (SED), our Commentary on Search Marketing Talks section is designed to break down the latest threads, social media debates, and controversial topics within the SEO and AI communities. We actively welcome your perspective, but to ensure our community remains a productive, educational, and insight-driven space, all participants must adhere to our Comments Policy.

We prioritize a people-first, user-centric environment. This policy outlines what we expect from our commenters and what types of content will be moderated or removed.

1. Focus on the Data and Technical SEO

We encourage healthy debate on controversial industry topics, but discussions should remain constructive.

  • Do: Base your arguments on technical SEO points of view, real-world data, case studies, or personal project experience.
  • Don’t: Launch personal attacks against other commenters, case study authors, or the industry figures whose talks we are analyzing. Attack the argument, not the person.

2. Zero Tolerance for Spam and Link Injection

As a publication focused on search engine mechanics, we are highly sensitive to automated spam and manipulative link-building tactics.

  • Comments containing irrelevant links, generic “Great post!” filler text, or obvious keyword stuffing in the name field will be flagged as spam and deleted immediately.
  • If you include a link, it must directly add value, context, or data to the ongoing technical discussion.

3. Maintain Professionalism and Respect

The SEO and AI fields move fast, and disagreement is a natural part of testing what works. However, all commentary must remain professional. We will immediately remove comments that contain:

  • Profanity, hate speech, or discriminatory language.
  • Harassment, bullying, or defamatory statements.
  • Blatant self-promotion or pitch decks disguised as comments.

4. Moderation Rights

To protect our readers, all comments are subject to moderation. The Search Engines Daily team reserves the right to edit, delete, or refuse publication of any comment that violates these guidelines. Repeat offenders who violate our policy will be permanently banned from participating in our discussion sections.
